Radar shows no rain over Alabama at 11:45 a.m.

Regional radars show developing showers over eastern Tennessee and extreme Northeast Georgia. A shower was approaching Chattanooga from the north. This activity is in the vicinity of a frontal boundary that will be pushing south.

A few showers and isolated storms will break out in the humid air over Alabama this afternoon, aided by the slowly sinking boundary.

Skies are partly cloudy with a good cumulus field over much of the state. Thick clouds are over West Alabama south of Tuscaloos and Selma.

Less humid air is poised to our northeast. It will be filtering into Alabama as high pressre flexes its muscles and extends the ridge down into Alabama late tonight and tomorrow.

Looks like fine weather for the Memorial Day weekend.
