TEMPS REMAIN BELOW AVERAGE: The average high for Birmingham today is 76 degrees… computer guidance is suggesting a high between 65 and 68 this afternoon… about ten degrees below average. The humidity will remain low, and the sky will be partly sunny.

Tomorrow will be a warmer day as we rise into the mid 70s along with a mix of sun and clouds.

SHOWERS RETURN WEDNESDAY: We will introduce a chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon, but the main dynamic support is to the north, and moisture and instability values will be rather limited. So, rain amounts probably won’t be too heavy, and for now severe weather is not expected. The rain should end late Wednesday night as drier air begins to return.

THURSDAY/FRIDAY: These two days looks very nice, with ample sunshine and highs in the 70s. Early morning lows will be in the 40s, and the humidity will be low.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Moisture levels rise Saturday, and we will bring in a chance of showers. But, dynamic support is not really strong, and rain should be light and spotty. Certainly not a wash-out, but if you have some outdoor plans Saturday just understand some rain is possible at times. Pretty much the same story Sunday; moist air will be in place, but there isn’t much support for a big rain event… just a few scattered showers. Sunday will be humid and warmer with a high around 80 degrees.

The chance of showers will linger into early next week. See the Weather Xtreme video for more long range ideas, and all of the maps and graphics that go along with this discussion.
