FINE APRIL DAY: Temperatures this afternoon are in the 68-75 degree range across North-Central Alabama. The sky is partly sunny, and the humidity is low. And, if you like this, you will like the weather tomorrow. Mixed sun and clouds… a little warmer with a high in the mid 70s. No rain around here through 36 hours.

WEDNESDAY: Showers will return to Alabama Wednesday… the best chance will come during the midday and afternoon hours, and the rain won’t be especially heavy with limited moisture and dynamic support. Severe weather won’t be an issue, and rain totals will be 1/2 inch or less. There could be a little thunder, but probably not much.

THURSDAY/FRIDAY: These two days look fantastic. A good supply of sunshine…early morning lows will be in the 40s; the high Thursday will be in the low to mid 70s, followed by a high near 80 Friday afternoon.

OUR WEEKEND: Moist air returns, and we will maintain the chance of showers Saturday and Sunday. But, the rain won’t be continuous or especially long lasting, and we don’t expect any severe weather issues. There might be a little thunder, especially Sunday when the air will be a little more unstable. So, if you have something planned outdoors over the weekend, but be aware a few passing showers are likely both days. The high Saturday will be in the upper 70s, followed by low 80s Sunday.

NEXT WEEK: That moisture axis hangs around early next week, so a few showers will remain possible on Monday and Tuesday as well, with a high around 80 degrees. The good news is that we don’t see any major severe weather setup around here for the next 15 days based on model output… see the Weather Xtreme video for the details, maps, and graphics.

WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 90 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes.
