NOAA Weather Radio Notes

| April 25, 2013 @ 2:53 pm

Here are a couple of notes concerning NOAA Weather Radio from the National Weather Service in Central Alabama.

The routine weekly weather radio test which was postponed on Wednesday due to the line of storms will be conducted tomorrow, Friday, April 26th, around 11 am.

The broadcast from the NOAA Weather Radio transmitter on Mt. Cheaha on a frequency of 162.475 megahertz will be off the air this afternoon for scheduled maintenance. It should be back operational this evening.

Great weather today! A beautiful azure sky allowing full sun, a north to northeast breeze around 10 mph, and temperatures just below the 70-degree mark! I really don’t thing the weather can be any better than what we see today!

Special thanks to the teachers at Lincoln High School for the invitation to participate in their Career Day today. I had a great time visiting with students interested in weather and television.
