Showers/Storms Going Downhill

| May 26, 2008 @ 8:26 pm | 7 Replies

The line of thunderstorms sagging southeastward across Central Alabama has gusted out and is weakening north of downtown Birmingham.

An outflow front is pushing southward out of the line. It will produce winds of 20-39 mph as it arrives.

Heavy rain in Gardendale now. Raining in Pinson.

Moderate rain covers much of northern Jefferson County. The heaviest rain is in the Parrish area of Walker County.

Lightning has diminished dramatically and is nearly gone.

The boundary will provide a focus for shower and thunderstorm development across Central Alabama on Tuesday.
