. . .Still plenty of fireworks over NW Alabama.

A line of strong thunderstorms with an overdose of lightning extended across the NW part of the state from near Decatur to Russellville to NW of Hamilton. Earlier tonight, Hamilton had already received 1.75 inches of rain and they are in line to get more.

The line of storms was moving generally toward the ESE. We don’t know for sure how long this line of storms will hang inthere but wewill watch it.

Meanwhile, that line of storms that moved into NW Alabama this afternoon and took its time moving SE, was finally playing out over St. Clair County just before midnight with a small area of moderate showers.

We have an additional rain amount not previously reported, Lee Wiginton measured 2.30 inches in NE Jefferson County 2 miles NE of Pinson High School earlier tonight. That was from the cluster of storms now giving up the ghost over St. Clair County.
