A line of showers and storms have been dropping south across Alabama all night. These storms are strong but have remained below severe limits across Central Alabama.

These storms are producing gusty winds, frequent lightning, deafening thunder and very heavy rain. Flash flooding is the greatest concern with these storms this morning.

The most intense activity is over portions of West Alabama as storms are affecting areas from Clanton to Tuscaloosa and north into Marion County. All this activity continues to drop south. Additional storms are developing out ahead of this main line and are affecting Hale, Perry and Marengo Counties.
