Ginger Zee is an American television personality. She is currently the meteorologist on the weekend edition of Good Morning America on the ABC Television Network. Ginger graduated from Rockford High School in Rockford, MI, in 1999. Her goal at graduation was to be a meteorologist on the “Today” show by age 30. After attending Valparaiso University, she worked at WEYI-TV in Flint, MI, WYIN-TV in Merrillville, IN, WLAV-FM and WOOD-TV both in Grand Rapids, MI, and WMAQ in Chicago, IL. While at NBC owned and operated WMAQ, Zee filled in as meteorologist on the weekend edition of Today, fulfilling her high school goal. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in meteorology and is an AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist. Ginger became a meteorologist on Good Morning America in 2011.
By the way, Ginger was named for one of the characters on “Gilligan’s Island.”
