Storms Strengthen Late Tonight

Storms have really increased across Alabama tonight as an upper level disturbance moves across the area.

There is still a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Shelby and Talladega Counties, there is a significant weather alert for Lamar and Fayette Counties. Strong storms are increasing from Beaverton to between Winfield and Fayette. They are moving southwestward and will affect Vernon and Crossville, passing just west of Fayette.

The severe thunderstorm warning for Tuscaloosa County has been canceled since the storm has weakened rapidly in the past few minutes.

Other strong storms are over Marshall County. They will affect parts of Cullman and northern Blount Counties.

Storms are quite strong over southwestern Chilton County between Plantersville and Stanton. A significant weather alert was just issued for Autauga, Chilton, Dallas and Perry Counties till 12:45 AM CDT.

Others are in Bibb County approaching Brent/Centreville.
