Severe Thunderstorm Warning Russell County until 2:45PM

UPDATE: Lee County 911 is reporting that this storm has blown down trees along highway 29 near Beans Mill.

A thunderstorm with a history of producing wind damage is now moving into portions or Russell County. Seale, Crawford, Ladonia will be impacted this storms as well as some major roadways through the county. Highways 431, 29 and 165 will see the chance for damaging winds, flooding rains and frequent lightning. This storm will be crossing to county before it heads into Georgia.

* UNTIL 245 PM CDT

* AT 208 PM CDT…EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED A LINE OF SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THESE
STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM SMITHS TO LADONIA
TO 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF LADONIA TO UCHEE…AND MOVING SOUTHEAST AT
35 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…
PHENIX CITY…RUSSELL COUNTY SPORTS COMPLEX…SEALE…
PARKMANVILLE…PHENIX DRAG STRIP…HATCHECHUBBE…FORT MITCHELL AND
UCHEE CREEK.

WINDS OF 60 TO 70 MPH WILL BREAK LARGE TREE LIMBS AND CAUSE SOME
DAMAGE…ESPECIALLY TO SMALLER STRUCTURES.
