On TV Duty

A quick note… with Jason Simpson out in the field this morning, I am having to cover the morning TV shift on ABC 33/40… so no morning Weather Xtreme video today. I will crank out one at some point later today, somehow…

After the morning TV shift I have a speech at the Youth Leadership Conference in Tuscaloosa, sponsored by Alabama Power. Then I will drive back to our Hoover studio to handle some business, including the blog discussion and the Weather Xtreme video. Of course, after that, we head back to Tuscaloosa for tonight’s Storm Alert 2007 show, which begins at 7:00 at Shelton State Community College.

J.B. Elliott will have a blog discussion shortly for weather in coming days… very challenging, unsettled winter weather pattern, and computer models are not much help.

Looks like temps are now in the mid 30s over much of the I-20 corridor… we do note lots of ice on our SKYCAMs at Gadsden, and atop Mt. Cheaha. Snow is on the ground over the Tennessee Valley; be watching ABC 33/40 this morning for live reports from those areas. Jason is up there somewhere, along with Brian Peters. We hit the air at 5:00…
