We are already seeing a few showers and storms pop up on radar this midday. The atmosphere will support widely scattered showers and storms again today. However, most areas across the state will remain dry today.

Storms have developed over Calhoun, Cleburne, Clay and Cullman Counties. The general track of the convection today will be towards the south.

Some of the storms could be strong and may even reach severe limits briefly today. The main threats will be gusty winds, some hail and the chance for some isolated flash flooding. Also, frequent lightning will be a concern as well.
