Ingrid Nears Hurricane Strength

| September 14, 2013 @ 10:26 am

Tropical Storm Ingrid continues to get better organized and strengthen as she slowly moves north over the very warm waters of the Southwestern Gulf of Mexico. Sustained winds are nearing the 74 mph threshold needed for hurricane strength and by later today, Ingrid is expected to become our second hurricane of the 2013 season. She is expected to continue to move north today, before making a sharp left turn and heading towards the eastern Mexican coast where landfall is expected Monday.
