Soaking Showers Continue
The entire area continues to see soaking showers this morning. The cold front is still off to our west and is beginning to enter the northwestern part of the state. The rain is beginning to wind down in that area as drier air begins to move in.
Several more hours of rain for the Birmingham area, but the rain will be tapering off from northwest to southeast through out the day. It looks as though the rain should be out of the part of the state by this evening. The more intense activity in central Alabama has pushed east of Interstate 65 and is along Interstate 59 around Gadsden.
