Mid-Morning Radar Check

| October 16, 2013 @ 9:38 am

The rain has finally made into Alabama this morning as light to moderate rain is falling across portions of northwestern Alabama. For the counties in our
area, rain is being reported in Fayette, Lamar, Marion, and Winston Counties. The rain will continue to push east today and most locations will see rain over the next 24 hours. Rain should begin to impact the Birmingham area perhaps by lunch time, but more than likely during the afternoon hours.

This rain shield is along a frontal boundary that is ever so slowly moving across the Southeast. It will push through Alabama during the day Thursday and behind it some of the coolest weather so far this season is expected to settle into Alabama for the weekend.
