Scattered Showers Overnight

| October 16, 2013 @ 8:32 pm

Light to moderate rain is falling across portions of Central Alabama this evening. The shower activity will continue through the overnight as most of this activity moves towards the northeast. Additional activity will likely develop throughout the overnight hours as well. No severe weather, and likely no storms at all overnight. Many areas will see  steady soaking rain as the showers will last into and through part of tomorrow.

Currently the best radar returns are west of Interstate 65 in western Jefferson County, as well as Tuscaloosa, Hale, Pickens, and Bibb Counties. This area of heavier rain will likely impact the Birmingham area over the next few hours. The pitter patter of rain will certainly make for a great night of sleep across portions of Central Alabama.
