Clear and Cool Overnight

| November 2, 2013 @ 4:49 pm

It has been a terrific fall day across Alabama. Mostly sunny skies and pleasant temperatures have made for a real treat today. There has been a brisk northerly wind, which has allowed for it to feel a bit cooler. We have seen some clouds develop over northern portions of the state in response to the upper-level trough axis rotating across the Southeast. For your evening, no problems with the weather at all are expected. As the trough axis moves off to the east, the clouds will mix back out and skies will go clear. Most locations had highs in the upper 60s, but once the sun sets this evening and the winds begin to lessen, those temperatures will begin to drop fairly fast.

Looking at the forecast lows graphic below, most locations across Central Alabama will once again see lows tomorrow morning in the lower 40s, while areas to the north in the Tennessee Valley will see 30s. It will be another cold morning and once the sun comes up temperatures will rebound into the 60s again. Tomorrow will be several degrees cooler than today, but the wind will not be as brisk. Sunday will be another beautiful fall day for Alabama and the Southeast
