Thanks to Danielle Thomas for these images… she writes:

“Hi James,

We took these on the way to Oxford, on Hwy 431 north, this evening…I thought it looked a little scary but, you said no rain in sight & I trust ya :)

We moved from south Ga to Oxford in November of last year. Now living in Rock Mills so I have Fox 5 (out of ATL) as our local satellite station…NO Alabama coverage what-so-ever! I am constantly on your weather blog keeping up to date info on our weather. I have also subscribed to your severe weather alerts on my cell. You and your team do a great job & I can’t thank you enough for all of your hard work to keep us safe. Keep it up because this south GA girl lives by your predictions. I didn’t realize just how important the BTI scale was/is until I went back to south Ga the weekend of Mother’s Day…oh, you are so advanced!!! BTI was NEVER heard during the storms!!! I almost called & educated them…hahaha. Long story short, THANK YOU!”
