Gone Fishing…
A fish hook shaped line of storms is occurring across North and Central Alabama this afternoon.
The shank of the hook extends from Jackson and DeKalb Counties through Marshall and Blount Counties into Jefferson and southern Walker Counties.
The bend curves from southwestern Jeffersonm through eastern Tuscaloosa County, back into southern Shelby County, with the barb near Wilsonville.
The heaviest storm was straddling I-65 north of Warrior. That storm seemed to be turning a little more to the south into northeastern Jefferson County.
Other nice storms were over southern Walker County and Jefferson County.
0.55 in Chelsea and 0.20 in Hueytown with heavy rain.
Watch out for deadly lightning, gusty winds and very heavy rains as these storms blow through your neighborhood.
A battleground was setting up over Talladega, Southern Shelby, Coosa and Chilton Counties where outflow boundaries are crashing into each other. Storms could grow really fast here.
