Some Storm Reports

We are beginning to see a lot of issues developing as the snow, sleet, and freezing rain are increasing across the state. It is going to be a very long night and morning. Conditions the rest of the night are only going to get worse. Roads conditions are deteriorating rapidly in our northern counties. Do not be out on the roads.

In Marion County: Heavy snow reported by ALDOT at district 3 office.
Marion County 911 reporting of numerous bridges icing over and slick spots along Interstate 22.

Snow falling in Double Springs. Highway 278 near Snead is icy.

In the Tennessee Valley:
Widespread snow accumulations and roads becoming slick. Florence is seeing roads snowed/iced over.

Highway 72 in Athens is reported to have icy patches.

Cullman County, starting to see Interstate 65 overpasses icing over, and bridges along highway 157 and 278.

Light rain and sleet in northern Jefferson County in the Gardendale area with a temp just above freezing.

In Mississippi:
Heavy snow and frozen precip across north-central Mississippi, and that is heading into Alabama. Snow and sleet accumulations being reported in numerous areas across the state.

MDOT is reporting numerous bridges and roads becoming iced over and slick along the U.S. 82 corridor.

On the campus of MSU, thin coating of ice on elevated surfaces and plants.
