Strong Storms Racing East

Strong and currently non-severe storms are rapidly moving east across Central Alabama this morning. Radar is really beginning to fill in for locations along and east of Interstate 65.

Strongest storms look to be impacting eastern Jefferson County and heading into St. Clair County. Numerous other storms across the area this morning producing tremendous amounts of lightning, window shaking thunder, gusty winds, some small hail and very heavy rainfall.

Other strong storms are impacting Chilton, Coosa, Talladega, Calhoun, and Tallapoosa counties. Storms will diminish from west to east across the state the next few hours.
