A Saturday in the Spring

| March 22, 2014 @ 3:48 pm

It is hard to find much to complain about in the weather today. A very warm day with most locations well into the 70s with a mix of sun and clouds. Not at all a bad way to spend the first official Saturday of Spring. No weather issues today with any outdoor plans you may have, and I suggest that if you do not have any plans, to make some and enjoy this weather, because big changes are coming soon.

Scanning across the radar data for the Southeast, most locations are dry. We are beginning to see a few showers and storms developing back to our west in southern Oklahoma and Arkansas. These storms are heading east and could arrive in Alabama later tonight. Additional showers and a few storms will develop and impact Alabama overnight as a cold front currently over the Tennessee Valley slowly drops south. Behind the front, much cooler weather and as we head into tomorrow, the 70s we are seeing today for highs, will be replaced with 50s.
