It was a terrific Saturday across the state as it was a day full of warm temperatures and dry conditions. That will be changing as we head into the the overnight hours. A cold front is currently draped across the Interstate 20 corridor and a surface low pressure system was over eastern Texas. The low will be moving east overnight and will cause showers and a few storms to develop. The radars to our west will be filling in as the activity develops.

Already tonight, shower activity is ongoing across Arkansas and it will continue to spread east overnight. Rain will arrive after midnight and most areas will see a soaking rain during the morning hours. There could be a few thunderstorms, so some rumbles of thunder are possible, but there is no severe weather threat.

The rain should last until the late morning hours before it ends from west to east across the state during the early afternoon.
