Spring-like Sunday

| March 8, 2015 @ 2:20 pm

Most of the day we have seen a mix of sun and clouds across Alabama. During the late morning hours, we did see mainly sunny conditions, but over the last few hours, we have started to see clouds arrive from the west. These clouds are associated with our next rain maker, and we will continue see clouds increasing through the evening and overnight hours. Enjoy the sun today, because an active week of weather will feature mainly cloudy conditions with little sun expected.

With plenty of sunshine today, we have seen our temperatures rebound nicely from this morning’s lows. Many locations were at or just below freezing this morning, but we are seeing nothing but mid to upper 60s across North-Central Alabama, while 70s are in place across much of southern Alabama. We do note, the rain to the west is approaching the state line. It will continue an eastward progression through the evening, and we should begin to see rain fall across the area later this evening. It looks to be a night with periods of rain, and with the clouds moving in, we should see lows tonight only slip down into the lower to mid-40s.
