Showers Enter NW Alabama
Late this afternoon some showers entered NW Alabama. At 5:45, they were mainly over Lauderdale, Colbert and Franklin in Extreme NW Alabama.
There was also a shower along the Winston-Cullman County line NW of Cullman. And, an individual shower near Hamilton in Marion County.
Further south, there was another shower over Central Marengo County south of Demopolis and several additional showers down in SW Alabama.
Movement is toward the east but not real fast.
By far the more numerous and heavier showers were along the Mississippi-Tennessee border, especially around Memphis and over NE Arkansas.
These showers are not associated in any way with Tropical Storm Fay–not even distant cousins.
