Dry Weather Through Friday

NICE AND CALM: We will forecast a partly sunny across the great state of Alabama today with a high in the mid 50s; a little cooler than yesterday in the wake of the clipper system that brought showers to the northern counties late in the day.

Then, a nice warming trend begins tomorrow as temperatures rise into the 60s with a good supply of sunshine. Friday promises to be a delightful day with ample sunshine, and a high in the 67-70 degree range.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: A weak front will approach from the north, and it could bring a few isolated showers to the northern quarter of the state Saturday, but much of Alabama will be dry with intervals of sunshine and a high in the mid to upper 60s. Pretty much the same situation Sunday; a shower is possible in a few spots over North Alabama, but a decent part of the day should be dry with temperatures back in the 60s.

NEXT WEEK: A wave of low pressure forms on the stalled front, and that should bring an increase in the coverage of the rain Monday into Tuesday. Rain amounts around 1 inch are likely on these two days, and while some thunder is possible, it is not a severe weather setup. Cooler and drier air follows for Wednesday, with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s.
