Today will feature a sunny sky with a high in the 57-65 degree range this afternoon. Temperatures reach the 60s statewide tomorrow afternoon with a partly sunny sky. We will introduce the chance of a few showers near the Gulf Coast during the day tomorrow, and scattered showers are possible across all of Alabama tomorrow night as moisture begins to move northward.
QUIET NOVEMBER AFTERNOON: The sky is sunny across Alabama with temperatures generally in the 55-62 degree range. Tonight will be clear and cold with lows in the 25-35 degree range. Not as cold as last night, but many spots will see another freeze.
Look for sunshine in full supply across Alabama today with a high in the 70-75 degree range.
COOL AUTUMN WEATHER: Temperatures are in the 40s and 50s across Alabama early this morning… not as cold as forecast due to clouds that persisted through the night. Birmingham is at 53 degrees just before daybreak with a cloudy sky, while Mobile is 7 degrees cooler at 46 thanks to a clear sky and near calm wind. The sky becomes sunny today with a high in the 60s over North Alabama, with 70s for the southern half of the state.
ANOTHER DRY DAY: Birmingham has received only 0.02″ of rain since mid-September; the last meaningful rain here was on September 16 when just under one inch was recorded. Today will be another dry day with ample sunshine along with a high in the low 80s. Clouds will increase tonight ahead of a low pressure center and warm front over the northern Gulf of Mexico.
Today will feature a sunny sky with a high in the 75-81 degree range this afternoon. We stay dry tomorrow with a high not too far from 80 degrees for most Alabama communities.
PLEASANT MORNING: Some North Alabama communities are in the 50s early this morning for a nice touch of fall. A dry airmass stays in place today, so we expect a mostly sunny sky with highs in the 80s over North Alabama, and low 90s over the southern counties.
DRY AIR MOVING IN: Alabama is rain-free early this morning with temperatures ranging from the mid 60s across the Tennessee Valley, to the mid 70s over the southern half of the state. We expect a partly to mostly sunny sky today with afternoon showers confined to areas near the Gulf Coast. Northern counties will see a high in the upper 80s; temperatures reach the low to mid 90s over South Alabama.
QUIET AFTERNOON: A few isolated showers are over the Tennessee Valley this afternoon, otherwise Alabama is dry with a partly to mostly sunny sky. Temperatures are in the 87-93 degree range, not far from average values for early September. Tonight will be mostly fair with only a small risk of a shower; expect a low between 68 and 74 degrees.
RADAR CHECK: We have a few small, isolated showers over the western half of the state this afternoon, otherwise the sky is partly to mostly sunny with temperatures in the 87-91 degree range for most communities. Those showers will end this evening, and tonight will be mostly fair with a low in between 68 and 73 degrees.
QUIET WEATHER PATTERN: Most of Alabama will be dry today; odds of any one spot getting a shower this afternoon are only 5-10 percent, and we generally don’t mention it in the forecast when the chance is that low. The sky will be partly too mostly sunny, and the high will be in the 87-92 degree range.
END OF METEOROLOGICAL SUMMER: On this last day of August we expect a mostly sunny sky across Alabama; any afternoon showers will be confined to the far southern counties of the state later today. Highs will range from the mid to to upper 80s over the northern third of the state to the low 90s over South Alabama.
ANOTHER PLEASANT SUMMER DAY: Most of Alabama is in the 60s early this morning as a dry, continental airmass continues to cover the Deep South. Expect sunshine in full supply today with highs in the mid to upper 80s over the northern half of the state, and low 90s for the southern counties. Humidity levels will remain low for August.
A dry, continental airmass has dropped in here, and that will set up an amazingly pleasant day for mid-August. Sunny, lower humidity, and highs only in the 80s over the northern half of the state. South Alabama will see low 90s this afternoon.
