Thanks to Alice Utterback of Talladega for this image… she writes:

“I wanted to share a picture that my sister, Carol Rector sent me from Western Ky via her Blackberry. She lives near the small town of St. Charles. The caption was “Don’t you wish you were here?” I’m so glad we’re not. She also said the ice is so heavy that when the trees break they sound like gunshots. She said it is really getting scary. They are using a generator for some power and kerosene heaters.

She lost power about 4:15 a.m. and have no idea when they might get their power back on. They have approximately 1/2 to 1 inch of ice now with a prediction of that much more overnight. Tomorrow they can look forward to 3″ to 6″ of snow. Yeah!!!”
