Minneapolis Struck by Tornado

| May 22, 2011 @ 5:44 pm | 7 Replies

As in most cases, the early reports are quite sketchy, but it seems that a fairly strong tornado moved across the northern sections of Minneapolis, MN, earlier today, roughly around 3:30 pm.

Check out the aerial shots from KARE11 television at this link.

The mayor of Minneapolis is asking people to stay away from the area to allow first responders to do their jobs. A number of people have been transported to local hospitals.
