HAPPY THANKSGIVING! A cold front is pushing through South Alabama this morning with a band of showers; drier air continues to filter into the northern counties of the state. For North/Central Alabama, today will be partly to mostly sunny with a high between 65 and 70 degrees. Showers will remain possible over the southern quarter of the state south of the front, but amounts there will be fairly light and spotty.

Heavier showers are pushing into East and Southeast Alabama this afternoon with gusty winds, but there has been no severe weather so far today. The persistent rain has keep temperatures cool, and accordingly the airmass remains stable. We do note the sky is partially clearing this afternoon over the northwest part of the state.
