Severe thunderstorms are about to start dropping down Sand Mountain into Jackson and DeKalb Counties. Damaging winds and hail are possible.

    Northern DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 130 AM CST

* At 1227 AM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Sewanee to Triana, moving southeast at 40 mph.
    HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
    SOURCE…Radar indicated.
    IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

    Scottsboro, Fort Payne, Rainsville, Bridgeport, Little River Canyon
    National Preserve, Henagar, Stevenson, Sylvania, Fyffe and
    Hollywood.
