Skies are mostly cloudy over the northern half of Alabama this afternoon. There might be a few breaks, but they are few and far between. Skies are sunny over the far southeastern part of Central Alabama, along I-85 northeast of Montgomery.

Temperatures are mostly in the 50s. Gadsden was still at 48F at noon.

The radar is generally clear. A few light echoes are showing up in the Tuscaloosa area, but most of it is not hitting the ground.

Skies will remain cloudy through the rest of the day and into tonight. An approaching cold front will trigger showers over northwestern sections of the state and eventually the rest of the area late tonight and Monday. Rainfall amounts from this system should average between one quarter and one half inch.

Rain should end from the west late Monday afternoon and evening with clearing skies by Tuesday morning. Cool and dry conditions will prevail through Thanksgiving Day before a wet weather system arrives late Thursday and last through much of Friday.
