Biblical Flooding in Texas

| August 27, 2017 @ 10:05 am

As forecast, a powerful feeder band set up over East Texas last night and dumped amazing rainfall amounts on the Houston/Galveston area.

The NWS Houston/Galveston received 24.10 inches of rain over the last 24 hours.

Here is the storm total rainfall on left and current radar on the right.

Areas in purple have received over 21 inches.

The current radar shows more rainfall is coming and the band is essentially stationary.

A devastating and historic flooding situation is occurring in the Houston Metro now and another 20_ inches of rain may fall before Harvey is done.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all our friends in Texas.
