Wind Advisory For Parts Of Central Alabama Starting Monday at 9:00 AM

…Central Alabama Winds will increase Monday…

.Tropical system Irma will bring windy conditions to Central
Alabama. This advisory is in effect for areas generally west of
Interstate 65.

…WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM MONDAY TO 1 AM CDT TUESDAY…

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 9 AM Monday to 1 AM CDT
Tuesday.

* TIMING…Winds will increase on Monday morning after 9am

* WINDS…Sustained winds of 20-35 mph are possible with some
gusts into the 35-50 mph range

* IMPACTS…These wind speeds and gusts are capable of snapping
some tree limbs, damaging unsecured smaller outdoor items, and
may produce isolated power outages

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of 35 mph are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult…especially for
high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
