…WIND ADVISORY IS CANCELLED…

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has cancelled the Wind Advisory.

Winds are not expected to exceed wind advisory criteria for the remainder of today and tonight.


…STRONG WINDS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL ALABAMA…

Strong winds associated with several features will continue to provide strong winds to Central Alabama. Winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 35 mph are possible ahead and behind the main front.

…WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT…

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect until midnight CST tonight for all counties in Central Alabama.

* TIMING… of the strongest winds will be through Midnight.

* WINDS… will be between 20 and 30 mph with higher gusts.

* IMPACTS… Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Also, limbs and branches may break and fall, as well as weakened trees.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 25 mph or higher are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
