Late Tonight in Alabama

If anything, less of Alabama was getting rain late tonight as compared to earlier this evening. Most of the north third of the state was without rain at 10:15 pm.

To the south, showers were more numerous in a west to east band across Central Mississippi along with a few thunderstorms. This will move into West Alabama later.

Another band of showers over the extreme south.

More than one inch of rain so far on Dauphin Island for the heaviest reported.

We hope that Alabama does not drift back into drought conditions this year. These are some rain shortfalls so far in 2009:
