Showers and Storms Pushing Through North Central Alabama

An upper-level disturbance is pushing through North Central Alabama this morning, as expected.

Most of the lightning at 8:25 a.m. is over northern Jefferson County, over Blount County moving into Etowah County and over Cherokee County.

The storms are not severe, but eavy showers and some lightning will affect parts of Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Blount, St. Clair, Etowah and Cherokee Counties over the next hour.

They will continue pushing east-southeast through the morning hours.
