| April 14, 2018 @ 3:05 pm

Strong storms are moving through western parts of the Birmingham Metro now and a small kink is showing up in the storms just southeast of the Bessemer Airport just south of I-59.

There is rotation in the storm just northwest of Helena.

The potentially dangerous part will stay generally just south of I-459 and AL-150, passing over US-31 in Riverchase and then over I-65 south of I-459.

The NWS is monitoring it closely.

Be ready for heavy rain and lightning as well as strong gusty winds in any case.
