The Gulf Coast is feling the impact of Subtropical Storm Alberto with wind, rain and increased tides.

Winds are gusting to 35 mph this hour at Apalachicola.

The Tyndall AFB Tower C located south southeast of St. Georgie Island reported a gust to 55 mph at 6:57 a.m. The anemometer is located at 35 meters however, so winds are higher than at the surface.

Panama City Beach was 3 feet above normal at the time of high tide shortly before 7:30 a.m.

No surge issues here at Panama City Beach so far.

Double red flags are flying and no one is allowed in the water.
