Mid-Morning Lull

Alabama is getting a lull from severe weather at mid-morning. The last Tornado Warning that was issued in the region was from the NWS in Tallahassee. It included the Panama City area until 9:45.

Showers continue over SE Alabama, but the strongest thunderstorms producing heavy rain were in a line along and off the NW Florida coast to near Tallahassee and SE Georgia.

To our west, a line of strong to severe thunderstorms over South Arkansas and West Louisiana progressing eastward.

NEW TORNADO WATCH
It was just issued and goes until 5:00 p.m. for parts of Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. This new watch includes 51 counties in Mississippi.

61 Gadsden, Birmingham, Gulf Shores
64 Tuscaloosa, Troy
66 Montgomery/Dannelly Field
67 Montgomery/Maxwell AFB, Eufaula
68 Evergreen, Andalusia
64 NW Florida at Ft. Walton

The North and Central Alabama dew points have risen considerably since last night.
