Storms Lined Up Along I-20
Storms continue sinking southward over East Alabama tonight.
They are lined up generally along I-20 from Leeds to Lincoln to Anniston to just north of Heflin.
Anniston reporting a 35 mph wind gust in the past 15 minutes.
The storms have become outflow dominant, with a strong outflow boundary lined up from Hueytown to Sterrett to south of Talladega.
I you have north facing windows, I hope you had them open when it came through. About 25 mph of nature’s air conditioning.
This line is not expected to rpoduce any severe weather as it sinks southward, but it will continue to produce gusty winds, lot sof lightning, heavy rain and even some small hail.
back to the west, isolated strong storms were over northern Mississippi and western Tennessee into Arkansas. A strong storm was south of Corinth Mississippi. This activity is moving east and will affect Northwest Alabama later tonight.
Will be interesting to watch the boundary tomorrow. It will be lying across Central Alabama. I have upped the rain chances in anticipation. We will see.
