Severe Storms Heading Toward Starkville; Contain Possible Tornado
Severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect now for parts of Attala, Choctaw, Oktibbeha and Winston Counties in East Central Mississippi. A tornado warning was just issued for parts of Attala and Choctaw Counties for rotation just west southwest of Ackerman.
A tornado warning is in effect in South Mississippi for areas around Tylertown, east of McComb. This storm will eventually affect Hattiesburg or Laurel.
Storms over Central Alabama have weakened at this time. That is not unexpected, as the main activity will move in late tongiht.
