Midday Update: Bright Sunny Day With Very Clear Skies

| September 4, 2019 @ 11:17 am

By Meteorologist Johnny Parker

It is a bright and beautiful day across Alabama with not a single cloud in the sky! A few clouds might develop going into the afternoon and evening hours but will remain pretty scarce.

Current temperatures are in the upper 80s/low 90s over central Alabama with low 80s in the Northeast part of the state.

Alabama remains dry and there are pockets of moderate to severe drought conditions over central into eastern Alabama. With not much rain forecasted anytime soon, I would suspect that the updated drought monitor which will be issued tomorrow morning will expand the drought conditions.

September and into October are typically dry months for Alabama with September only averaging around 4 inches and October with 3.4 inches.
