Significant Wx Advisory: Parts Of Lee & Chambers Counties Until 11:45 AM

At 1108 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Standing Rock to near Opelika. Movement
was east at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include…
Opelika, Valley, Lanett, Lakeview, Cusseta, Chambers County Lake,
Beulah, Fredonia, Post Oak Forks, Veasey Creek Park, Denson, Beans
Mill, Huguley, Fairfax, River View, Amity Park, Standing Rock,
Southern Harbor, Lanett Municipal Airport and I 85 Welcome Center At
Lanett.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
