Get To Your Safe Place Now Sumter & Marengo Counties, Tornado On The Ground

At 7:50 PM CST, a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was located 7 miles east of Kinterbish, or 14 miles southeast of York, moving northeast at 40 mph.

NWS Birmingham is reporting that debris is being lofted as high as 18,000 feet. If you are in this polygon, get to your safe place now!

Locations impacted include…
Demopolis, Jefferson, Coatopa, Dug Hill, Kinterbish, U.S. 80 and AL 28, Belmont, Demopolis Lock And Dam, Lilita, McDowell, Bellamy, Ward, Whitfield and Demopolis Municipal Airport.
