| December 29, 2019 @ 6:31 pm

A corridor of greater severe potential exists across western portions of Central Alabama this evening. Damaging wind gusts and a tornado or two will be possible over the next couple of hours.

Several areas of weak to moderate rotation have been noted over the last 30 minutes from Noxubee County MS to Lamar County AL, both with semi-discrete supercells and bowing segments. A corridor of relatively increased severe potential will exist downstream of this section of the line across western portions of Central AL over the next 1-2 hours. A strong shear
environment will continue to support organized, rotating convection capable of damaging gusts and possibly a tornado or two in the short term.
