Floor Warnings, Advisories Cover Much of the Area Tonight

| February 6, 2020 @ 12:18 am

The flood threat has become fairly significant across North and Central Alabama tonight.

Numerous flood warnings extend across the entire Tennessee Valley and in West Central Alabama between Sumter and Tuscaloosa Counties.

Flood advisories extend all the way from Pickens County up to Jasper and through the Birmingham area into Oneonta and Gadsden.

Rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are common tonight north of I-59, with 3-4 inches having fallen across Lamar, northwestern Fayette, and eastern Morgan Counties.

Remember our main rule when it comes to flooding, turn around, don’t drown!
