Flood Warning Extended For North Alabama Until 11:00 AM

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has extended the

* Flood Warning for…
Jackson County in northeastern Alabama…
Marshall County in northeastern Alabama…
Madison County in north central Alabama…
Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama…
Limestone County in north central Alabama…
Colbert County in northwestern Alabama…
DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama…
Cullman County in north central Alabama…
Franklin County in northwestern Alabama…
Morgan County in north central Alabama…
Lawrence County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 1100 AM CST Tuesday.

* At 450 AM CST, moderate to heavy rainfall has ended. However,
rainfall of one half to one and one-half inches of rain overnight
has resulted in continued runoff and flooding on many small creeks
and streams. Also, overflow flooding of ditches and fields due to
saturated soils also continues.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Huntsville, Decatur, Madison, Florence, Athens, Albertville,
Cullman, Scottsboro, Hartselle and Fort Payne.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
