Early Afternoon in Alabama

At 1 o’clock this afternoon, at least the NW half of Alabama was free of showers or thunderstorms. By far, the more numerous and stronger storms were down south especially from about Mobile to Montgomery to Phenix City southward.

Movement is generally eastward but the whole system is slowly sinking toward the SE.

Lots of lightning in that part of the state and downpours of rain.
