Flood Advisory for Etowah Co. Until 12:15 pm

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
Northwestern Etowah County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 1215 PM CDT.

* At 1012 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms is causing minor flooding and
rising levels on area streams. This will cause urban and small
stream flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Gadsden, Attalla, Altoona, Walnut Grove, Reece City, Aurora,
Noccalula Falls, Rockledge, Howelton, Mountainboro, Ramsey,
Gallant and Crudup.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
